  See Our Work

The mission of UjimaCare is to bring relief to all ethnic groups, particularly focusing on orphans and deserted children and families in remote parts of the world. Directing people toward a new vision and assisting them with the skills and resources for a better future. In this regard we create a synchronized and conducive world for indigent children thus helping to eradicate poverty around the world. It is our belief that if children are cared for properly and educated, the problems associated with poverty like child slavery, prostitution and trafficking will be completely eradicated. Below are summaries of what we do to help indigent children all over the world but there's a lot of work to be done with very limited resources so we need your help in accomplishing these goals.

Malaria Prevention: More Nets, More Lives

UjimaCare has provided mosquito nets that benefit the entire community. We all have a role to play in advancing one of UjimaCare's goal goals of Malaria Prevention, and one of the easiest ways to help is by sending life-saving bed nets to prevent malaria. $40 covers the cost of a bed net, delivers it to Africa, and provides education on how to use it. That doesn't just prevent disease. It saves a child's life, or a mother's life, and can protect an entire family for up to five years. I have personally seen the impact a bed net makes for a person, for a family, for a community, for a village. Millions of people in Ghana, Ethiopia, Uganda, and other countries across Africa have found hope through a simple bed net. Letís give other people of Africa the same hope. Malaria ties in to several of UjimaCare's Goals. It's most inextricably linked with combatting HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases. But it's also connected children's health and maternal health -- and a few of our other goals, as well. Achieving our goals means winning the fight against malaria. The good news is, you can be a part of that fight. Join us and send more nets to save more lives today.

In working and interacting with those in need or leaders of remote villages and partnering with like minded organizations, UjimaCare yearns to customize programs and provide the resources to help whole communities and individuals to grow and become more self sustaining. With our resources, we are able to provide education and safe living environments to children in remote parts of the world. These disadvantaged children would remain illiterate, and continue their life of poverty without any hope of change but with your help we can provide the resources needed to ammend this problem.

Computer Refurbishing Program

UjimaCare is a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher and provides refurbished computers to underserved people and communities around the world. From our Columbus-based computer refurbishing workshop we safely decommission and completely refurbish your old PC for reuse by schools and organizations in the remote parts of the world. Through this program we make a connection that makes a difference. We help people in western countries choose to reuse by giving their old computer to someone in need in a developing country. We believe that reusing a computer is more green than recycling because reusing just one computer with a standard CRT monitor prevents emission of over 1,000 pounds of carbon dioxide! We create opportunity through technology and help our environment in the process. We provide these computers to schools and organizations in developing countries. We are also a Microsoft Authorized refurbisher so every computer we refurbish comes with a Microsoft Certificate of Authentication (COA) software installed. Please Click Here to learn more about our computer refurbishing program and donate your old PC.
